Rajrishi Bhartruhari, popularly believed to be the brother of King Vikramaditya, was a ruler, moral preceptor, poet and romantic, all combined into one singular personality. He authored three immortal classics  of one hundred verses each- Neeti Satakam (Moral values), Vairagya Satakam (Renunciation or philosophical) and Srungaara Satakam (About Love). One citation here.

Prarabhyate na khalu vighnabhayena neechaih
Praarabhya vighnavihataa viramanti madhyaah
Vighnaih punah punarapi pratihanyamaanaah
Prarabdhamuttama janaah na parityajanti

We have three kinds of people, who are engaged in getting things done. Some never take the very first step, lest obstacles stop them in the track. They rank lowest. Some begin well, but halt in their track, even if something minor impedes their advance. We have the achievers too. They persist in their endeavour until they reach their goal, overcoming all obstacles en route.
